Soft and sweet, peaches and cream has always been a firm foodie favourite of mine (probably influenced by my reading of Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach at a young age). As an alternative to the popular strawberries and cream of summers at Wimbledon, I have opted for a softer fruit that offers an equally delicious colour scheme for a vintage bride.
Peaches and cream is a perfect colour palette for vintage brides looking to get married in the spring or summer, as the soft peach colours compliment the dream vintage ivory cream lace dress you’ve – no doubt – been longing to wear. I hope you enjoy this wedding colour scheme and that this theme evokes sweet summer days for you as much as it does for me!

True to the creamy colour of vintage lace dresses, Old Lace Cream is slightly on the pinker side of the cream scale, complimenting the red and yellow tints in the other colours. Without a shadow of a doubt, your dress should be this colour! Weave Old Lace Cream peonies with Apricot Pink peonies into your hair to soften your intricate lace wedding dress.
Soft and feminine, Apricot Pink is a lighter version of a classic and typical peach colour. In selecting this colour, I was aiming to balance the yellows of the Peach Orange and Bronze Brown. Use this colour widely throughout your wedding scheme, including the ribbon sash around your vintage lace wedding dress, the peonies in your hair, the dainty shoes on your feet, the wedding programs and your bridesmaid dresses.
Vibrant without being too loud, Peach Orange is what I like to think of as the vintage filter of orange; it’s an orange that has had the sepia effect applied, if you like! Include Peach Orange in your theme by offering peaches and cream as the dessert on your menu and by ensuring a Peach Orange peony decorates your wedding cake and your wedding bouquet.

The darker brown found on the natural colouring of peaches, Bronze Brown provides a contrasting compliment to the rest of the colours in this scheme. It’s best included in your table setting and food menu, so work it in by using peaches as table place indicators, and by offering Pimm’s alongside Dark and Stormy and Peach Rum cocktails.
